There were no injuries in a reported vehicle fire on Interstate-80 Wednesday morning.

The Menlo Fire Department responded to a report of a vehicle fire at around 8:45 a.m. According to Menlo fire officials, a Nebraska woman was travelling eastbound on the interstate and pulled over on Exit 86 after seeing smoke coming from the front of her 2012 Dodge Ram truck. The vehicle’s front-drive side tire was damaged and the truck sustained severe damage.

Fire crews confirmed that the fire originated from the engine area of the truck, but there were no flames and they determined there was no risk of it reigniting with the vehicle off. The victim was uninjured in the incident.

The Stuart Rescue Department assisted at the scene.
