June 19th, 2012

06/19   10:10 am, a deputy assisted a Grand Junction resident with a civil issue concerning charges to a credit card.

2:25 pm, a deputy took a complaint of unsafe driving that had occurred on 220th Street between Jefferson and Grand Junction. The incident had occurred on 05/26/2012.

4:57 pm, a caller advised of a large rock that had been located in the center of W Ave, north of 110th Street. The caller had advised the Secondary Roads Dept. of the road hazard at 8:30 am. The caller was upset that the rock had been moved to the shoulder of the road, but still remained there. The deputy spoke with a supervisor of Secondary Roads and was advised that the rock was moved off the traveled portion of the roadway until equipment to lift the large rock could be brought on scene. The rock is to be removed today.

5:25 pm, a deputy took a complaint of unauthorized charges to a credit card from a Scranton resident. The incident is under investigation.

8:15 pm, a caller advised of baby raccoons in the doorway of the Grand Junction Post Office. The deputy transported the animals from the city and released them.

8:39 pm, a Scranton resident called and advised that he was out of town, but had been advised that his garage had been burglarized. Arrangements were made to meet with a deputy on 06/20/2012 and file a formal complaint.

In all cases when a defendant has been charged, this is merely an accusation, and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
