The Jefferson-Scranton Community School Board has a new member.

Dr. David Ohrt was appointed to the board during a special meeting Friday afternoon.  The position opened up when former board president Celli Whipple resigned last month.  The board had 30 days to fill the position.

Dr. Ohrt’s term will last until September of 2013.
