Finnders and Youngberg will play on the new outdoor stage at the park Sunday evening. The band plays original bluegrass music that incorporates the pedal steel guitar. They’re based out of Colorado and are known for putting their own touch on old-time, honky-tonk, folk and blues tunes.
The concert is presented by the Whiterock Conservancy, a local non-profit land trust that’s restoring 5,000 acres of pasture and time along the Middle Raccoon River southwest of Coon Rapids.
The show and popcorn are free but donations are encouraged. The event is BYOB and concert goers should also bring a lawn chair or blanket to sit on. Music starts at 7pm Sunday at Riverside Park.
