Dallas County Hospital Announces Scholarship Winners

The Dallas County Hospital Foundation has announced the recipients of their 2012 high school and college level scholarships.

This year a total of $5,500 was awarded to students who live in or attend school in Dallas County and are entering a career in healthcare.

This year’s high school recipients are Matthew Thompson, Damar Carillo and Wendy Martinez from Perry, Joshua James and Bailey Fay of Waukee, Miranda Fullerton from Dallas Center-Grimes and Janel Allison of Dowling Catholic.

College level recipients are Debra Howard of Grand View University and Amanda Cooper of Mercy College.

Award winners are selected based on academic success, extracurricular activities and volunteer hours.
