The Dallas County Hospital has announced their June Service Heroes of the Month.

IT Manager Jake Wendler, Network Specialist Andy Huitt and Support Service Manager Julie Smith were chosen for the honor because of their recent work on the hospital’s phone project. The group helped the hospital make a seamless transition to a new phone system without any patient or visitor inconvenience or interruption in service.

Wendler says it’s an hour to be recognized and rewarding to know that they can have an impact on patient’s quality of care.  Smith adds that it’s really about the patient’s experience when they visit the hospital and they want to do everything they can to help provide them with the best care possible.

The Service Hero of the Month is chosen by a team of hospital employees and is based on patient feedback, patient satisfaction results and employee feedback.
