There are a host of events going on in Perry to celebrate the 4th of July Wednesday.

It all starts with the parade line up in the East Perry Plaza at 9am and the parade beginning at 10:00.  The Junior Optimist Club is bringing the Bucket Brigade along the parade route as they hope to raise money for their organization and future Perry fireworks.

At Pattee Park there will be inflatables from 1-5pm, fire department water fights, a variety of grilled food from St. Martin’s Church in the North Shelter House and bingo from the Elks Club in the big shelter house from 1-3pm.

The Perry Fine Arts hosts their annual concert with pianist Bob Lien at the Methodist Church at 2pm, followed by the annual ice cream social

The celebration of course concludes with the annual fireworks display at dusk.  All community members are encouraged to come on out and celebrate America.
