Yale will be at the hub of the 4th of July celebrations in Guthrie County.
Wednesday’s activities get rolling at 7am with a bicycle poker run. A full day of food at the community building starts at 8:00 with breakfast. Chainsaw carving artist Gary Kenan will be giving demonstrations at 10am behind Just Ethels. The parade starts at 11:00 followed by a car show, horse show, inflatable games for the kids and a laser shoot.
At 1pm, a hot rod tractor pull will begin and a bath tub race takes place at 2pm, along with bingo and Suzy Q. Then at 3pm, Just Ethels is hosting a pie baking contest, the horseshoe throwing contest begins at 3:30 and the kids pedal pull contest is at 4pm.
Wednesday night, join fellow residents at the Bill Riley Talent show at 5pm, followed by a raffle drawing and the pie and wood carving auctions at the community building.
The night caps off with fireworks at the baseball diamond beginning at dusk.
