The Jefferson Police Department has announced results of their most recent special traffic enforcement program wave over the Independence Day holiday.
According to figures released from Police Chief David Morlan, a total of 9 citations and 36 warnings were issued between July 2nd and July 8th. Among them are tickets for speed, stop sign/light violation, driving without a license, driving while suspended or revoked, and no valid registration.
A total of 20 seat belt warnings were issued along with warnings about speed, driving without a valid license, no proof of insurance and equipment violations.
Two accidents were also investigated during this time.
