The Perry Public Library is still working to repair the air conditioning issues that plagued the building during our recent heat wave.

Director Mary Murphy says the library’s second air compressor will be installed Thursday but the number one air conditioner may need to be shut down for the two-day installation period.  Because of this there may be no air conditioning at the library Thursday and Friday.

As a result, the library will open as usual on Thursday at 10am and remain open until it becomes too hot for the computers to function properly.  However all library programs for both Thursday and Friday have been relocated to the Carnegie Library Museum.

Once the second air compressor is installed and both units are operating, there should be cooler temperatures throughout the building.
