The Perry Community is invited to view the community landscape plans during tonight’s Friday Fest.
Perry’s final conceptual landscape plan is now finished and a public meeting will be held today to share details with area residents.
Josh Shields of Bolton and Menk, Johnathan Nelsen from Iowa State University, Leslie Berckes with Trees Forever and members of the Perry visioning committee will be available to explain the plan and answer any questions.
Coordinator Greg Nath says some of the areas that have been addressed in the plans include pedestrian safety and traffic calming on 1st Avenue, landscaping along the Raccoon River Valley Trail and designs for welcome signs in Perry.
The public meeting will begin at 6pm next Friday at Pattee Park. Anyone with questions or interest in becoming involved with the visioning process should call Greg Nath at 465-5621.
