The Perry Jayettes placed 4 on the 2012 Raccoon River All Conference teams.  Sophomore Julie Dew was placed on the Second Team, while juniors Frankie Eklund and Alexa Gilmore along with sophomore Lindsey Kunch were named honorable mention.

Dew bounced back from a broken ankle a season ago to lead the Jayettes in virtually every offensive category.  She smacked a team high 7 home runs and finished with a team high 30 rbi’s.

Eklund was consistent all season long batting 360 with 3 home runs and 24 rbi’s.  Kunch finished above the 300 mark for the second straight season while Gilmore logged the most innings of any Raccoon River Conference pitcher.

The Jayettes finished the season 10-28-1 and 3-14-1 in conference play.  Perry loses one senior to graduation in catcher Katie Walsh.

The Raccoon River conference produced 5 state qualifying teams this year, with Ballard winning the 3A championship and Dallas Center Grimes placing 2nd in 4A.
