The final county fair in the Raccoon River Valley of the year is coming up later this month.
Guthrie County’s fair kicks off on Wednesday August 29th when all 4-H and FFA competitors have to check in their exhibits.
Gate admission is free for the first full day of the fair Thursday and the day’s events include various exhibit judging, buck night at the carnival and the Bill Riley Talent Show.
On Friday the competitions continue but there will also be an antique appraisal, mutton busting and the Grand River Rodeo.
The fair continues through Monday September 3rd. The Raccoon Valley Radio “Big Red Radio” will be there broadcasting live through the duration, so don’t forget to stop by and say hello.
