The Dallas Center community is putting the finishing touches on preparations for this year’s Fall Festival.
This year’s theme is “DC Super Heroes: Who’s Yours?” Though the event is designed to not only celebrate comic book and movie heroes, but also those everyday local heroes like our community volunteers, firefighters, police officers, paramedic, military personnel and teachers.
Activities kick off Friday August 24th with the weekly farmer’s market, kids’ activities, food, live music, free skating in Mound Park and the annual scavenger hunt.
Saturday’s festivities start with the annual Leap Frog ½ marathon and 1 mile and 5k fun runs, followed by a pancake breakfast, parade, car shows, games, carnival rides and fireworks.
Advance carnival ticket sales start Monday at several Dallas Center businesses.
