The Greene County Board of Supervisors met in regular session Monday.

At the meeting, Peg Randy and Deb McGinn with the Main Street – Rooftop Art Committee presented several examples of ideas for roof top art that could be seen from the Mahanay Bell Tower.  The duo noted that the tower on the square makes Jefferson unique and they are looking for attractive and appropriate design elements to accent this feature.

The Supervisors also approved the hiring of full time deputy sheriff Shane Monthei (Mon-tee) at an annual salary of $38,000 effective August 31st and approved an amendment to the most recent Targeted Case Management lease agreement – allowing overdue rent to be paid by the state.

The Greene County Supervisors meet each Monday at 8:30am in the board room of the courthouse.
