The Guthrie County Fair has gone “high tech” this year, allowing participants to register online.  The old Guthrie County Fair Book has been put aside and replaced by the newly developed online website www.guthriecountyfair.com.  The new website will enable individuals to print off the entry form for participation in the Open Class.

Beverly Mills, Treasurer for the Guthrie County Fair Board, says that if you don’t have access to the web, or if you need assistance in filling out the entry form there are 2 options available.  The Guthrie Center Library will have access to the entry forms and will gladly assist those that need help.  She says that the second option would be the fair board secretary’s office that is located across from the old grandstand.  Beginning Monday, August 27, phone lines will be hooked up and volunteers will be assisting those that need help in filling out the forms.  They will also be accepting completed entry forms for open class.

Mills pointed out that this procedure is to be used for open class entries only.  If you need assistance with FFA or 4-H entry forms you should contact your ISU Extension offices.

The 2012 Guthrie County fair runs Thursday August 30th through September 3rd in Guthrie Center.
