The Perry School Board held their monthly meeting last night.

At the meeting the board received updates on current district projects, the district’s insurance coverage and premiums and the PACES summer program.

The board also approved Sara Lee as the bread vendor and Roberts Dairy as the dairy vendor for the district for the upcoming school year, approved a food service agreement between the district and the child development center and approved a technology support agreement for the nutrition department with the Waukee school district for a technical support representative.

Next the board approved a research study by Nancy Christianson on the “School Meals Labor Costs” as she pursues a doctoral degree from Iowa State University and approved an online payment service agreement with ParentOnline so that parents can view and deposit money into their students accounts.

Finally, the board approved revisions and updates to the board policies in regards to equal opportunities for students, approved resignations, hires, transfers and lane modifications for district staff and upped the substitute teacher pay by $5 to $110 per day to be consistent with other school districts in the area.
