Young Stuart residents and their parents are encouraged to check out a new explorer program in the area tonight.

Explorer Post #3924 and the Stuart Rescue Unit are teaming up for an emergency medical services training program for boys and girls ages 14-21.

Participants will be trained on CPR, first aid, HIPPA regulations and blood borne pathogens.  Following the training, they’ll be able to sign up for shifts and go on rescue calls to observe emergency crews on the scene.

An informational meeting is being held tonight at 6pm at the Stuart Fire Station.  Students must have at least a “C” average to participate.

For more information, contact Troy Armstrong at 660-591-3180 or Jeff Howard at 515-523-2400.
