The Perry Bluejay football team will hold an open practice and scrimmage tonight beginning at 5:00 at Dewey Field.  The Bluejays will practice at 5 and then scrimmage at 6.  Perry has some key returnees back from last year’s playoff squad.  Sophomore Will Whiton is anticipated to be under center this year with Cavan Finn expected to get some reps as well.  The running back position took the hardest hit from graduation last year with the top 2 rushers moving on.  The Bluejays will look to Ben Daniels, Seth Stetzel and Caleb Jans to shoulder the load.

The offensive line will be the key this year as center Jackson Van Kirk and guard Michael Lansing will look to anchor a young front wall.  Senior Tory Brelsford is back as the starting tight end and will provide a big target for Whiton and Finn to connect with.
