The Perry Boys Cross Country team opens up a new chapter this Thursday when they travel to Ames for the Gilbert Invitational.  Jeff Fox is back guiding the harriers and is excited about his returning talent, “I have increased my returning talent.  I have my top runner back in Victor Trinidad and senior Cory Fellom along with Guthrie Center move-in Christian Morales.”  The Bluejays will also welcome the addition of track star Atem Akuk.

Fox mentioned the kids have set some lofty goals based on time comparison and improvement.  “The practices this year have been focused on longer distances, repeats and more hills.  The practices have more difficult this year and I think that has scared a few people off.”

Perry will host the Leon Fox Invitational September 27th at the Perry Golf and Country Club.
