The Perry Jayette volleyball team continues to countdown the days for their season opener Saturday at the Skip Anderson Classic in Bondurant.  Head Coach Carol VanKirk returns a strong nucleus up front that will feature a lot of different hitters, including Frankie Eklund, Shannon Thompson, Amy Markres and Becca Minor.

“Our offensive potential is a lot stronger this year.  We have a lot more powerful hitters that can score points for the team.  The main concern right now is getting the passing to the setters in good shape so we can utilize the attack.”

Perry will once again compete in the Raccoon Valley Conference, where Bondurant Farrar is the defending champion.
