The Perry Bluejay defense will look to build upon the success of Friday night’s season opening win over Greene County.  The Bluejays held the Rams to seven points and had to key early stops following botched punts.  The Perry linebackers were flying to the ball all night, led by Jackson Van Kirk, Sergy Olvera, and Michael Lansing.   “The kids played incredibly hard,” stated head coach Jason Olenzack, “and incredibly well so I think we were pleased all the way around.  Defensively not only did we eliminate the big play, I thought they played at a level even better than we anticipated.”

Perry’s defense will look to slow down a bruising Boone ground game that will arrive at Dewey Field this Friday night.
