The A-D-M Girl’s Volleyball team won thier own six team tournament last Thursday by sweeping all five of thier opponents. After a 1-2 start, the Lady Tigers have now won 10 consecutive matches.

A-D-M got things started by defeating West Central Valley 21-5 & 21-9 in the opening match. They then off knocked I-35 School by scores of 21-7 & 21-12 followed by a 21-9 & 21-16 victory over Perry. Their toughest match was against Newton, losing game one 17-21 but then rallying to win game two 21-14 and then the tiebreaker in a close match by a 15-13 score.

The Lady Tigers finished thier perfect night by beating Knoxville 21-10 & 21-19. “We had some tough matches with Perry, Knoxville & Newton, said Head Coach Mary Beth Scott, “Our serving was strong as well as our passing.”

“Torrie Hook, Haley Scheppers & Allison Gottschalk all had strong showings at the net,” Coach Scott continued,”Marissa Felt, Emily Wicks & Maddie Powers were aggresive serving.”

By sweeping their own tournament, A-D-M has now won 10 consecutive matches and increased their game record to an impressive 23-5. Their last loss was back on August 22nd in the Newton Tournament to Dowling High. Tonight the Lady Tigers have a rematch against the Perry Jayettes.
