Mass of Christian burial for John Phelan, 83, of Perry will be held Friday at10:00 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Church in Perry.

Burial will be in the Violet Hill Cemetery in Perry.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday at the Carris Family Funeral Home with a vigil service at 7:00 p.m.

John is survived be his children: Denise Ostrem of Elgin, Illinois; Karen Reed of Jefferson City, Missouri; Mona Phelan of Parker, Colorado; Vicki Biller of Leawood, Kansas; Lori Good of Ogden; Jacquie Phelan of West Des Moines, Shannon Heinen of West Des Moines, Mike Phelan of West Des Moines; and Tim Phelan of Clive.
