09/17 At 4:44 am, a deputy checked an alarm at the East-Greene High School
At 5:48 am, a deputy secured an open door of the old school house at D Avenue and 125th Street
At 6:10 am, a deputy checked for a dead deer on 220th east of the Raccoon River Bridge but it was not located
At 6:30 am, a deputy was advised of the theft of a 6’ steel frame palm tree from a campsite at Spring Lake sometime last weekend
At 8:00 am, the sheriff received a harassment complaint regarding a text message from a rural resident
At 10:51 am, a deputy investigated an assault in Scranton where two brothers were fighting and one stabbed the other one. Dakota R. Toepfer, 13, of Scranton was taken into custody and charged with Assault-Serious and later transferred to a juvenile facility
At 9:30 pm, a deputy checked the report of a suspicious vehicle one mile south of Cooper on Neola Avenue
09/18 At 7:46 am, the sheriff and a deputy responded to the report of a property damage crash at 220th and C Avenue but it was found to be in Boone County
At 10:15 am, the sheriff received old ammunition for destruction
At 1:35 pm, a deputy investigated a harassment complaint in Grand Junction
At 4:30 pm, a deputy conducted a welfare check in Rippey on a possibly suicidal child
At 6:42 pm, a deputy was advised of a barking dog in Paton but the dog was put in the house
At 6:52 pm, a deputy checked a stalled vehicle at 240th and I Avenue
At 7:42 pm, a deputy investigated the report of illegal dumping of household trash and appliances in Grand Junction
At 8:19 pm, a deputy was advised of a civil dispute in Rippey regarding personal property
At 9:37 pm, a deputy assisted a Churdan resident by removing a bat from the home
At 10:37 pm, a deputy investigated a domestic dispute in Scranton and arrested Joshua Paul James D. Schulze, 21, of Scranton for Domestic Abuse-Assault, he remains held and additional charges are pending
At 11:34 pm, a deputy checked the report of a suspicious vehicle in Grand Junction
09/19 At 7:31 am, a deputy responded to Rippey after a residence reported their dog got lose from them but then they called and advised the dog came back home
At 8:46 am, a deputy investigated the report of the Unlawful Passing of a Stopped School Bus on U Avenue north of 220th Street. The driver was identified and cited for the offense
At 12:27 pm, a deputy relayed a message to a Rippey resident from the Juvenile Court Officer
At 6:55 pm, a deputy checked the report of a young boy riding a bike near 240th and J Avenue; child’s grandmother picked him up
At 9:02 pm, deputies investigated a domestic dispute between grandparents and child in the 800 Block of Jordan Avenue
At 9:34 pm, a deputy investigated an assault in the 1800 Block of 220th Street, charges are pending
At 9:47 pm, a deputy investigated a fight and assault at the Casey’s Store in Grand Junction
09/20 At 5:54 pm, a deputy located a vehicle in Jefferson that was being driven without permission by a family member from the 800 Block of Jordan Avenue. Family refused to pursue charges against the family member
At 6:20 pm, a deputy checked the status of a sick deer near the bike trail trestle bridge
At 6:27 pm, Jefferson Fire responded to a corn field fire in the 1500 Block of 252nd Street

In all cases when a defendant has been charged, this is merely an accusation, and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
