10/01 At 9:32 am, a deputy picked up a pink toddler’s jacket that had been thrown out on 195th Street between Q and R Avenue
At 11:16 am, a deputy investigated a property damage crash on 220th Street west of E Avenue. Cory R. Davis, 56, of Boone was eastbound on 220th in a 2008 Chevrolet Colorado pickup when a westbound vehicle crossed into his lane of traffic. He swerved to miss the vehicle and ended up facing westbound on the roadway. He was pulling a construction type air compressor at the time that sustained an estimated $12,000 in damages with $1500 to the pickup. The black vehicle was seen by other witnesses but could not be located
At 11:52 pm, a deputy checked the report of an unattended vehicle three miles south of Jefferson on Neola but it was not located
10/02 At 12:50 am, a deputy investigated the complaint of harassment in Scranton due to a text message received, deputy contacted the sender and advised them to cease sending any
At 5:27 am, a deputy assisted Jefferson police with a fire at Adams Court
At 9:00 am, a deputy received the complaint of an attempted check scam received by a Grand Junction resident. The person was contacted by a subject from MI regarding items he had for sale on Craigslist. The subject sent our resident a check for $2500 with instructions to cash it, keep $125 and send the rest by Western Union onto another party in CA. Anyone receiving these types of checks should take them to their local bank as they almost always are no account checks.
At 11:22 am, a deputy was advised of a civil dispute near E Avenue and 140th Street but it was resolved when one party left the area
At 1:31 pm, a deputy checked the report of open burning in the 1800 Block of R Avenue
At 1:45 pm, Donald G. Sayre, 56, of Jefferson was booked into the county jail after an arrest by Jefferson police for Domestic Abuse-Assault, he was booked and released O/R per magistrate
At 6:25 pm, Alysha N. Steece, 34, of Jefferson was booked into the county jail after turning herself in on a warrant for Criminal Mischief 2nd Degree, charge filed by Jefferson police, she was booked and released O/R per warrant
10/03 At 8:39 am, a deputy assisted with traffic control for a tractor and wagons with tire problems on 290th Street east of Rippey
At 3:23 pm, a deputy assisted with a subject on U Avenue south of Grand Junction who was possibly under the influence of drugs
At 4:28 pm, a deputy was advised of a barking dog in Scranton but was still busy with the previous call
At 8:05 pm, a deputy and Rippey Fire responded to a fire on 300th Street near 144 Diagonal
10/04 At 1:01 am, a deputy conducted a welfare check in Paton after a subject called their friend advising that they needed help. The caller was located and advised it was just a prank
At 1:14 pm, a deputy investigated a harassment complaint in the 2000 Block of 250th Street
At 2:15 am, Patrick R. Thompson, Sr., 21, of Grand Junction was booked into the county jail after an arrest by Jefferson police on a warrant for Theft 5th Degree, charges filed by Jefferson police, he was booked and released O/R per warrant
At 4:03 pm, a deputy checked careless driving at Squirrel Hollow Park
At 8:23 pm, a deputy assisted with cattle out near K Avenue and 160th Street
At 8:56 pm, a deputy investigated a verbal domestic dispute in the 1800 Block of 220th Street

In all cases when a defendant has been charged, this is merely an accusation, and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
