The high school volleyball season began with promise for Coach Donna Carhill’s Greene County Rams, but after winning its first four matches, the team finds itself at 7-10 overall late in the season. The Rams play in the Pella tournament tomorrow (Sat.) before ending the Heart of Iowa Activities Conference schedule on Oct. 9 in Jewell vs. South Hamilton. The regular season comes to an end on Oct. 13 at the Johnston tournament and Greene County travels to Class 3A number 9 East Sac County in Lake View to open regional tournament play o Oct. 22.
Coach Carhill is hoping for a strong finish to the season as the Rams will face several very good teams down the stretch in hopes of getting prepared for the postseason.
