In the first year of Greene County High School football one thing is certain; the players and coaches know how to get on and off buses. The Rams opened the 2012 season at home, but since then have been on the road for five of the next seven games including a trip tonight (Fri.) to Clarinda to face the Clarinda Academy Eagles. The Rams close the regular season on Oct. 19 by hosting OA-BCIG (Ida Grove) at Linduska Field and Coach Dean Lansman’s Rams are hopeful of finishing as high as second place in the district behind undefeated Kuemper Catholic (Carroll).

In order for the high district finish to happen the Rams must make the long trip to Clarinda and come home with a victory vs. 0-7 Clarinda Academy. Greene County is 3-4 overall and 2-2 in district play after coming from behind last week in Jefferson to defeat Clarinda High School 28-21. Tonight’s kickoff is set for 7 p.m. with coverage on KG98 starting at 6 p.m.
