ADM clinched a playoff berth Friday night by defeating Perry 28-13 on a soggy night in Adel.  Senior quarterback Kyle Herrick threw 3 second half touchdowns in route to a 298 yard passing performance.  Tate Jensen led the Tiger receiving corp with 9 catches for 171 yards and 2 touchdowns.  The game was tied 7-7 at the intermission after a Russell Baker 7 yard touchdown run in the first quarter for ADM, and a 15 yard touchdown run by sophomore quarterback Will Whiton for Perry.   ADM struck midway through the 3rd quarter when Herring hooked up with Jensen for a 64 yard strike giving ADM a 14-7 lead.  That same combination would hook up early in the fourth quarter on a 46 yard touchdown putting ADM up by two scores.

Perry never went away as Whiton engineered a 10 play 73 yard drive capped off by a 5 yard touchdown pass to youngster Nic Wilhelmi.  The PAT was missed and with 3:07 to go ADM led 21-13.  The Perry defense did its job forcing ADM to a three and out giving the Perry offense one final shot.  However, Blake Hiemann intercepted Whiton on the very first play sealing the deal and ending any hopes of a Perry comeback.  ADM scored a late touchdown on a Herrick to Sam Plagman touchdown and the Tigers celebrated a 28-13 victory.  ADM head coach Mike Whisner added the late score not to run up the score, but rather secure the maximum 13 point margin in case a tiebreaker is used to determine the tight Disrict 1 race.

Whiton led the Perry offense finishing with 131 yards rushing.

ADM will travel to Harlan next Friday for the District Championship, while Perry finishes their season at Saydel.  Both games can be heard on the Raccoon Valley Radio Network.
