A Celebration of Life service for John Burk, 80, of Jefferson will be held Wednesday, October 17th, at 7 PM at Slininger-Rossow Funeral Home in Jefferson. Visitation with the family will follow until 9 PM. Interment will take place at a later date at the Jefferson Cemetery. Friends may call at Slininger-Rossow Funeral Home after 11 AM Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to establish and endowment fund to the Greene County Historical Society. Surviving are his wife Jean Burk of Jefferson, three daughters Julie Yepsen of Jefferson, Jan Siglin of Jefferson and Jill Spatz of Hastings, NE, grandchildren Jared Yepsen of Ely, Dennis Healy of Jefferson, Laura Krohne of Liberty, Missouri, Michael Healy of Jefferson, sister Dorothy Sheckler of Florida, brother Duane Burk of Des Moines, sisters-in-law Kay Buswell of Kentucky and Trudy Langford of Winterset.
