Class 2A cross-country runners from 16 high schools converge on the par three golf course at Lake Panorama near Panora today (Thurs.) for a coed state qualifying meet. The top three boys and girls teams and top 10 individual girls and boys from today’s meet will advance to the coed state meet on Saturday, Oct. 27 at Kennedy Park north of Ft. Dodge.

The host Panorama Panthers will be joined by Greene County (Jefferson), West Central Valley (Stuart), South Central Calhoun (Lake City), Central Decatur (Leon), Clarinda, Clarke (Osceola) (girls only), CMB (Baxter), Interstate 35 (Truro), Missouri Valley, North Polk (Alleman), OA-BCIG (Ida Grove), PCM (Monroe), Red Oak, Southwest Iowa (Sidney), and St. Edmond (Ft. Dodge).

Boys teams in the Panorama state qualifying meet ranked by the Iowa Track Coaches Association include number two North Polk and sixth ranked St. Edmond. Girls teams ranked by the ITCA at Panorama include ninth ranked CMB and number 11 NP.

Individuals ranked in the top 30 at Panorama for boys include number four Seth Reel of St. Edmond, number 16 Peter Smith of NP, and number 28 Ryley Sandburg of NP. Girls ranked in the top 30 at Panorama include number two Sybbie Sears of NP, number 25 Bailey Hare of OA-BCIG, and number 29 Allison Higgins of Greene County.
