Funeral services for Bernard Sayre, 83, of Jefferson will be held Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. at the Gospel Open Bible Church in Jefferson.

Internment will be at the Scranton Township Cemetery.

Friends may call the Slininger-Rossow Funeral Home in Jefferson after noon Monday, where family will greet friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Bernard is survived by 5 sons: Dean Sayre, David Sayre, Donald Sayre and Daniel Sayre, all of Jefferson, and Duane Sayre of San Jose, CA; and a daughter, Darlene Paup of Alta, Iowa; a brother, Robert Sayre of California; and a sister, Ruth Ann Joy of Jefferson, IA; 19 grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

Memorials may be made to the Greene County Medical Center Foundation in both Bernard and Frieda’s name.
