The Dallas County Conservation Board is hosting a birdhouse building event early next month.

Migrating birds will be looking for a home as early as February or March and now is the perfect time to prepare for their return.

Participants will be able to build a bluebird house to take home, learn where to place it, how to monitor the house and how to deal with competitors and predators.

The cost is $15 to cover materials.  Registration is required and space is limited.  To sign up, call 465-3577.
