The West Central Valley school board held their regular monthly meeting Wednesday.
At the meeting, Weitz Construction provided the board with a revised bidding plan for the two final phases of the athletic complex. The last two sections of the project are being split into 8 different areas and bid documents will be issued on December 28th for contractor review. The district is hoping for local bidders and a pre-bid informational meeting will be held in on January 9th. The bidding process will then start on January 24th, followed by approval of contracts by the board.
Also at the meeting the board approved a school budget review committee request for recovery of funding for open enrolled out students from the last school year – at a total amount of $88,000 and approved an update 28E agreement with the Des Moines school district in regards to the Regional Academy.
