Tuesday, November 20th, the ADM girls team hits the court for the first game of the 2012-2013 season. And this game along with four of the following five games all have something in common; the Tigers will be donning their road jerseys.
ADM head girl’s varsity coach Brett Watson, and he didn’t seem the least bit concerned with his team having to travel a lot to begin the season. “We talk all the time about being relentless competitors and it doesn’t matter where you’re playing, if you’re at home or you’re away,” Watson explained, “All you wanna do is you just want to compete every single possession doing the best that you can.”
Coach Watson seems to have a message for his girls that they need to focus on their own game and not only block out where they are playing, but who they’re playing against. “No matter where its at, who the opponent is, we’re just gonna do what we do and try to execute to the best of our abilities.”
For the second year in a row the Tigers will start the season off against the Van Meter Bulldogs; last year ADM defeated Van Meter by a score of 51-33. Tonight they’ll have to go on the road to Van Meter and the game tonight has an anticipated 7:30 PM tip off.
