Many people go through a lot of preparation for the Thanksgiving and holiday seasons–cleaning, decorating, cooking, and making sure everything is in place.  However, it may go unnoticed that business go through the same sort of holiday prepping.

Raccoon Valley Radio spoke with Marcie Mosher, Manager of Perishables, at the Perry HyVee about how their store gets ready for the holidays.
“Our displays are geared more toward holiday items.  Right now, back in our meat department we actually have a full bunker of turkeys and hams.  Our bakery is gearing up with fresh bakery rolls.  Our kitchen has the turkey packs so they are promoting the turkey packs for dinner.”
Mosher also spoke about some of the specific items that were hot sellers during this time of the year.
“More trays will go out obviously for dinners.  Beer and wine are huge” she says.
The Perry HyVee is also one of the Raccoon Valley Radio Network’s Caring Christmas Food Drive Locations, so stay tuned for more information on when the Big Red Radio will be stopping by.
