On Monday, November 19th, the ADM boy’s basketball team hosted a Jamboree in their gym where they played a half of basketball against Saydel and Woodward-Granger and Perry also played a basketball half.  Raccoon Valley Radio spoke with head coach Aaron Mager who stated that his squad looked better offensively than they have during practices so far this season.  “We haven’t shot fabulously everyday at practice,” Mager admitted, “but we shot very well that night.”

In just one half of basketball, ADM put up 36 points.  Mager was quick to curtail that excitement though, pointing out that Saydel having practiced right before the game may have factored in as his Tiger squad had practiced that more and were perhaps more rested.  He also stated that ADM did make some mistakes and Saydel didn’t really capitalize on those mistakes, so the score could have easily been closer.

“Fairly organized,” Mager stated when asked to describe the effort, “We still made some first game jitter mistakes for sure but putting up 36 points is a definite positive for us and hopefully we can do that again.”

The ADM boys squad opens their varsity schedule Thursday, November 29th, at home against Newton, and the game can be heard on 107.9 FM, K-107 with the varsity tip-off scheduled for 7:30 PM.
