The Jefferson Police Department has released statistics from their Thanksgiving Special Traffic Enforcement Program wave.
According to Chief Dave Morlan, a total of 7 citations were written between November 19th and 25th, along with 63 warnings.
Tickets were written for improper child restraint, stop sign or light violation, driving without a license no registration, open container a zero tolerance violation.
Warnings were given for seat belt and child restraint violations, speed, and equipment violations.
Chief Morlan says five patrol officers worked at different locations within Jefferson while on duty during this sTEP wave.
