When the boys’ basketball team from Greene County High School takes to the court tonight against Colfax-Mingo they’ll be hoping to get in the win column for the first time this season. That’s something the Tigerhawks did on Saturday when they won at home over non-conference opponent Grandview Park Baptist of Des Moines. Greene County is 0-2 overall and in the Heart of Iowa Activities Conference, but the losses were to 2012 state tournament qualifiers Roland-Story and PCM (Monroe). The Rams scored just 65 points combined in the two games and had long scoring droughts in both. Colfax-Mingo is 1-2 overall and 0-2 in the conference and the Tigershawks have allowed 52 or more points to each of their first three opponents. Tonight’s action from Colfax is a girl/boy doubleheader with the girls playing at 6 p.m. and the boys to follow. All the play-by-play can be heard tonight on KGRA 98.9 FM with pre-game starting at 5:45 p.m.
