The Greene County girls’ basketball team plays three times this week including road contests in Colfax tonight and in Baxter on Friday. The Rams play at home on Saturday vs. Class 2A third ranked Panorama, and all three nights of girl/boy doubleheader basketball will be aired on KGRA 98.9 FM starting at 6 p.m.
Coach Chad Morton’s team is 3-0 overall and in Heart of Iowa Activities Conference  play entering tonight’s game at Colfax-Mingo. The Tigerhawks are 0-4 on the season, but they upended the Rams a season ago in Colfax by two points when they drained two free throws with one-tenth of a second remaining in the game. Greene County head coach Chad Morton said he can’t remember the last time one of his teams began a season by winning its first four games. He added the team is taking one game at a time and he expects a tight game at Colfax tonight.
