The Greene County Business Promotions met in regular session yesterday.  They discussed and finalized activities and events to take place during the “12 Days of Christmas” and city dedication ceremony this Saturday starting at 11am.

The event kicks off with an Ambassador visit and welcome address.  Then will be a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the Abraham Lincoln statue on the town square with Santa Claus on hand.  After the opening ceremonies, Santa will be at the Masonic Hall at 120 North Chestnut Road in Jefferson.  You can enjoy hayrides around the historic downtown area from 9-11am.

In other business, the newly-renovated Jefferson Bell Tower will be open tonight from 6-7:30pm.  Downtown retailers will be open until 8pm every night starting next Thursday, December 13th until the 21st, including Sundays.
