12/03   At 7:00 am, Neal C. Pritchard, 37, of Boone was booked into the county jail serving a

At 8:50 am, Gary L. Hingeley, 46, of Glidden was booked into the county jail and then transported to the Oakdale Prison Receiving Center by a deputy after being sentenced to a five year term for Possession of Firearms as a Felon and two years for Burglary 3rd Degree

At 2:49 pm, a deputy was advised of harassment in Churdan from a Twitter account which the caller was advised not to open or respond to if they didn’t like what was written on it

At 3:25 pm, Colby D. Onnen, 19, of Perry was booked into the county jail after an arrest and transport by a deputy from Guthrie County on a warrant for Failure to Appear for a Pretrial Conference on a Burglary 3rd Degree charge that was filed by Jefferson police, remains held with a hold for Dallas County

At 4:59 pm, a deputy investigated a trespass complaint in the 2200 Block of 320th Street. A van was found by the owner of the property parked near a fuel barrel with no one around it. The van was impounded along with a variety of tools in it.

At 5:18 pm, a deputy checked a trespass complaint in the area of Pounds Pits near T Avenue by hunters

 

12/04   At 5:07 am, Christopher C. Pollard, 36, of Texas was released to an extradition transport company to be taken back to Austin, Texas for a Parole Violation warrant issued from the Texas Department of Corrections. Pollard had been held here since an arrest on 09/03 and after pleading guilty to Serious Assault with time served as his sentence

At 9:50 am, the City of Grand Junction requested assistance with checking several vehicles parked at a residence to determine if they are junk vehicles as the city is starting a clean-up campaign. Deputy conducted the property owner who did consent to the deputy checking the vehicles

At 11:22 am, a deputy and Churdan Fire responded to the 700 Block of 110th Street where 140 acres of CRP land was reported to be on fire. Lohrville Fire was also requested for assistance. One of the Churdan Fire Department’s fire trucks apparently had an electrical problem that started the truck and grass under it on fire causing an estimated $15,000 in damages to the 1980 Ford tanker fire truck. A controlled burn had not been called in and after investigation it appears that possible hunters may have caused the fire.

At 6:05 pm, a deputy checked the report of an injured deer on D Avenue north of 140th Street; the deer was located and destroyed

At 6:07 pm, a deputy checked the report of suspicious subjects in a vehicle in the 900 Block of 300th Street. They were located and found to be selling Kirby vacuums door to door.

At 6:10 pm, a deputy investigated a harassment and threat complaint in Grand Junction and issued a warning to the calling parties

At 8:15 pm, a deputy investigated the theft of a bicycle from Churdan which was recovered the next day at the city park

 

12/05   At 2:15 pm, Jessica S. Kinsey, 21, of Jefferson was booked into the county jail after turning herself in on a warrant for Disorderly Conduct, charge filed  by Jefferson police, she was booked and released O/R per the warrant

At 2:16 pm, deputies investigated a domestic dispute in Scranton that resulted in the arrest of Scott A. Warnke, 49, of Scranton for Public Intoxication and Interference with Official Acts-Felony, he was later released O/R by the magistrate

At 2:23 pm, a deputy investigated the burglary to a vehicle in Grand Junction that had occurred some time ago and the owner of property stolen had located some of it

At 3:18 pm, the sheriff along with Churdan Rescue and Greene County EMS responded to Adaza where an elderly man had fallen down the basements steps and it was unknown if he was breathing. CPR was initiated but attempts to revive him failed

At 5:27 pm, a deputy investigating the report of a violation of a No Contact Order in Grand Junction resulted in the arrest of Lawrence S. Oneal, 37, of Grand Junction who was arrested for Violating the Order and remains held

 

In all cases when a defendant has been charged, this is merely an accusation, and   all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
