Guthrie County residents are invited to a pheasant restoration meeting and wild game feed tonight.

The meeting will unveil a new partnership between the Iowa Department of Natural Resources, Guthrie County Conservation and the local Pheasants Forever chapter.  The groups have come together to restore area wildlife populations, improve water quality and reduce soil erosion.

Additional committee members are needed and anyone interested in wildlife habitat conservation is welcome to join the team and serve on the board.

Throughout the upcoming year, the group will work to raise money locally and create habitat in the area.  Guthrie County has some of the best local wildlife populations in Iowa and the new program will help solidify their status as one of the premier outdoor destinations in Iowa.

The meeting begins at 6:30pm at the Guthrie County Conservation office.  Attendees will then be able to enjoy a free wild game dinner and mingle with other guests.
