The Carnegie Library Museum in Perry is preparing for their next exhibit.

Next week the three collection exhibit opens to the public.

On display will be Bill Wagner’s Churches Around the World: Pen and Ink Drawings.  The pieces were drawn during Wagner’s years of travels around the world, each of which featuring a unique place of worship.  The Dallas County resident is known as the father of historic preservation in Iowa.  Hundreds of buildings in the state have been saved through his efforts.   Wagner’s Christmas Cards will also be on display.

Shirley Shoesmith’s 20th Century Christmas Cards will also be featured in the exhibit.  The Perry resident collected the cards, which bring life to the holiday season and reminds us of the days before e-cards and emails.

The exhibit opening will be held Thursday from 1-5pm though visitors are welcome to check it out anytime the Carnegie Library Museum is open.
