Roland-Story built a 33-6 lead in Heart of Iowa Activities Conference wrestling on Thursday night in Story City before Greene County stormed back for a 45-33 victory. The Rams scored the last 39 points of the night and improved to 5-2 overall and 2-0 in the conference while the Norsemen fell to 0-2 overall and in the Heart of Iowa.

By draw the wrestling started at 170 lbs. and Greene County quickly fell behind. Seven of the eight Greene County victories came by fall. Freshman Daric Whipple at 138 lbs. had the lone victory by decision for the Rams. Winning by fall for Greene County were seniors Aaron Beaman at 285 and Ike Eischeid at 152; juniors Dylan Forkner at 126 and Jeremy Scheuermann (Sharmin) at 145; sophomores Abe Yoder at 120 and Jordan Challen at 132; and freshman Keyden Pollock at 160. Four of six Roland-Story victories came from Greene County forfeits.

The Thursday night dual meet was heard on KGRA, 98.9 FM. Next up for Greene County is a full day of wrestling on Saturday in the Ogden dual meet tournament featuring 10 teams.
