Senior Jennifer Kennedy scored a career high 32 points and the Greene County girls’ basketball team stopped a three-game losing streak by winning 55-39 in Jefferson on Tuesday night over South Hamilton (Jewell). The Rams improved to 4-3 on the season and 4-2 in Heart of Iowa Activities Conference games while the Hawks fell to 1-4 overall and in league play. Kennedy had 19 points in the first half and Greene county led 29-21 at intermission. The Rams scored the first point of the third quarter for a nine point lead before South Hamilton tied the score at 32-32. From that point forward, the Rams scored 23 points to just seven for the Hawks. Sophomore Kayla Mobley scored 10 of her 12 points after halftime for the Rams. The Hawks had 13 points form Sarah Rudy and 12 from Mattea Detrick (Mat-ay-a Dee-trik).
