The ADM girls’ dropped their second Raccoon River Conference game in a row on Tuesday, December 11th, but had a much better performance than their previous outing.  On Friday, December 7th, the Tigers lost to the Lady Jays of Bondurant-Farrar 59-42 in a game that they trailed by 18 at the half and were never really in after that, yet the Carroll game, also on the road, was a much closer contest.  ADM led 56-51 in the final minute but Carroll scored the last six points of the game including senior Brittany Holdsworth’s dagger of a 3-pointer with 16 seconds remaining.  ADM head coach Brett Watson felt that the team came back from the ugly loss last week to put together a good effort, they just panicked a bit in the closing minute.

“Its just a little disappointing to lose a game like that, but the girls responded real well.  I told them after the game I never ever questioned their effort,” Watson explained.  “One of the things we talked about from Bondurant-Farrar was offensively just to run our offense, go side to side with it, try to complete a few more passes, ad we did a much better job with our offense so I was pleased to see that.  But defensively we’ve got a long ways to go.”

Coach Watson said that offensively they put up enough points to win the game but that they can’t give up 57 on the road and expect to come away with the victory.  ADM is back home hosting Boone on Friday, December 14th; the Lincoln Savings Bank Pre-Game Show kicks off at 5:45 PM and the tip-off is at 6 PM on 107.9, K-107.
