Greene County senior Jennifer Kennedy scored 32 points on Tuesday night in Jefferson as the Rams defeated South Hamilton (Jewell) 55-39. That point total was just three points shy of the school record of 35 in a single game shared by Jefferson-Scranton graduates Samantha Kinne  (Kin-ee) and Ryanne (Ryan) Christensen. Kinne graduated in 1998 and Christensen in 2009.

Tuesday’s game marked the second time Kennedy has hit the 30 point mark in a game. The other was in January of this year against Nevada and Nevada is the Greene County opponent on Friday night in the middle school gym in Jefferson. The Cubs are 6-1 this season and 5-1 in the Heart of Iowa Activities Conference. The Rams are 4-2 in the conference and 4-3 overall. Friday night’s game is the first half of a girl/boy doubleheader that can be heard on KGRA, 98.9 FM. Pre-game begins at 5:45 p.m.
