The Nevada Cuba and Greene County Rams face off in a Heart of Iowa Activities Conference doubleheader tonight in Jefferson at the middle school gymnasium. The girls play at 6 p.m. with the boys’ game at approximately 7:30 p.m. Coverage on KGRA 98.9 FM begins at 5:45 p.m. The Cubs are 6-1 in girls’ basketball and 5-0 on the boys’ sides while the Rams are 4-3 on the girls’ side and the boys’ team is 2-4. Doug Rieder will have the play-by-play of both games.
Greene County senior Jennifer Kennedy is coming off a career-best scoring night. She poured in 32 points vs. South Hamilton (Jewell) on Tuesday night as the Rams won 55-39. Senior Justin Ostrander had a season best 24 points on Tuesday, but the Rams lost to South Hamilton 51-46.
