The Perry boys basketball team will look to make it 2 road wins in a row tonight when they travel to Huxley for a 7:30 game with Ballard (2-3).  Perry is coming off a nine point road win at Carlisle while Ballard squeaked out a 3 point road win in Winterset.  Shammond Ivory put up a career high 19 points in leading the Bluejays to victory Tuesday.

“Shammond had a terrific night, stated Perry Head Coach Ned Menke, ‘he shot the the ball well, played great defense on top of our 2-3 zone and really made us look smooth in transistion.  It was a great game for him all the way around!”

Perry has put more emphasis on rebounding the past couple of days in practice as Menke knows his shorter team must do a better job in that department.

“That’s what our practices have been..rebounding, rebounding and more rebounding.  We have worked on one on one rebounding drills and also mixing up our personell on our zone defense to give us a better shot.  We will slide Will Whiton down to the bottom and put Cavan Finn up top.”

You can listen to Perry and Ballard tonight beginning at 7:30 on KDLS with Shawn Kenney.
